We are proud to announce our recent appointments to university and advocacy/advisory organizations, professional panel discussions, and teaching assignments and lectures to local graduate schools of architecture and real estate development.

Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS’ recent project completion at 4th and Rhode Island Avenue, NE is the first residential development in the large block west of the Rhode Island Avenue Metro Station. This transit-oriented development will catalyze further growth in this area of the city characterized by vacant buildings, struggling commercial uses, and big-box retail. The building’s 116 new households will drive new investment in the neighborhood and provide a tangible benefit to the fledgling community.

As the first days of fall approach, so too do many of our project completion dates. We showcase the progress that The One Five and Somerset Cabin V4.0 have made this season by highlighting the design and construction process through imagery and text.

The City of Baltimore Planning Director, Tom Stosur, the planning staff, and Urban Design and Architectural Review Panel members Gary Bowden, Pavlina Ilieva, and David Rubin connected with Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS last week for a tour of neighborhood redevelopment and large-scale projects in Washington, DC.

Bonstra, FAIA, LEED AP, will be awarded the 2016 School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation Alumni Award for the University of Maryland. This prestigious award is presented annually to an individual for achieving excellence in their field.
