William J. Bonstra Endowed Scholarship

Greetings to our Friends and Colleagues and Best Wishes in 2014!

As many of you know, my wife and I are strong supporters of various charities and important causes in the DC Region. One of these dear to me is the University of Maryland School of Architecture, my alma mater.  We are excited to announce the establishment of the William J. Bonstra Endowed Scholarship, the first architecture scholarship under the newly developed TerpStart Program.  This is an exciting endeavor and an opportunity for us to provide financial support to deserving students, as I received during my Maryland tenure. I ask that you consider making a donation to the Scholarship as part of your 2014 philanthropic planning.  Instructions are below.

Thank you for considering a contribution to this important endeavor!

Regards,

Bill Bonstra, FAIA

About the Scholarship:
The William J. Bonstra Endowed Scholarship provides annual need-based scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in the UMD’s School of Architecture. The program is designed to assist students with the greatest financial need (Pell eligible students). For more information, take a look at the school’s official  announcement of the endowment.  Donating to the endowment  is an effective and meaningful way to give back to the community and to the profession while supporting the ambitions of local aspiring architects! Please help us to grow the endowment so we can provide multiple need based scholarships to undergraduate students.
