John Edwards has been selected to join The Committee of 100 on the Federal City, the heart of urban planning and development in Washington, DC, as a member of the planning committee. This is a testament to John’s expertise in urban design and his commitment to shaping the city’s future. As B|HA’s Senior Sustainable Design Leader, John oversees our sustainable practice and technology.
The Committee of 100 on the Federal City is a nonprofit organization dedicated to safeguarding and advancing Washington’s historic distinction, natural beauty and overall livability. The Committee plays a pivotal role in advising and influencing urban development policies, architectural preservation, and the overall aesthetic integrity of the Federal City. As a member of the planning committee, John will bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a dedication to sustainable urban growth.
David Haresign, FAIA Rejoins UVA School of Architecture Alumni Foundation Board
David Haresign, FAIA has been elected as the Vice President of the University of Virginia School of Architecture Alumni Foundation Board. David previously served as a trustee to the Foundation from 2016-2022. Through his work as a mentor, critic, lecturer and employer, David is committed to elevating the next generation of architects.
The School of Architecture Alumni Foundation is a university-related foundation established in 2004 to support the mission of the School of Architecture; to cultivate democracy and to the sustained, critical rethinking of their institutional policies, practices and structures. The Foundation works very closely with the Dean of the School to advance strategic objectives and achieve School priorities through philanthropic support.
