Architects for Animals: ABC7/WJLA Segment Features Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS’ Feral Cat Shelter
Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS’ most recent award-winning project was featured yesterday, February 24th, on the 11:00 ABC7 /WJLA evening news. The project, a California-modern inspired shelter for feral cats was designed by Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS employees Brian Forehand and Victoria Kulbick. The shelter won a design competition sponsored by the Washington Humane Society in December. Since then, the shelter has offered refuge to feral cats in Northeast DC during an especially chilling winter. WJLA reports that “cats [are living] it up in a shelter worthy of Frank Lloyd Wright complete with windows and a way to catch rain water for drinking.” View the original aired segment embedded below, or see the accompanying article by Tom Roussey to learn more about the efforts of Architects for Animals.
